I got an email this week informing me that our local Down syndrome association was going to start a bowling league. Usually we aren't able to go to a lot of the events because of me working nights every weekend. This time was different. It was going to be held on a Sunday! While the time meant I would only get 2 hours of sleep, it was worth it to see Gabi's excitement as she bowled!
"Mommy, that says, 'Way to go!'" She actually read the board!!!

Looks fun! Max loves bowling. I have thought about the special Olympics bowling but haven't actually done it. The Ds group team is a great idea!
Hope she continues to love it!
First of all, Gabi did better than I ever did :)
That has got to be the most cheerful score board I have ever seen. Looks like a great time.
I loved it! Very cute!

Great job Gabi! Especially the reading too :)
Good job Gabi! You're a better bowler than me, for sure!
I think Gabi needs to teach me some of her skills! She got a great score!!!
She is awesome Shannon! And I'm SO not kidding. I mean, my scores are almost always in the 80's. I always lose, no matter who I'm playing with.
