Last year, Gabi got glasses for the 1st time. While she actually prefers wearing them now and she is getting better about their care, she occasionally still ruins a pair. Yesterday, Gabi decided to twist the pair above when she was angry. If you look at the picture, you will notice the right side has been twisted causing the lens to fall out and the arm is bent away from the center. I've seen this enough times to determine that these are unrepairable. We have one pair left in decent enough condition that hopefully we can make it to her next exam before having to buy another pair.
So... is there a record for the amount of glasses ruined in a year in the Guinness Book of World Records?

Oh dear. 10th pair? That has gotta be a record.
Oh my. So far our biggest problem is Abby losing hers - she has a habit of taking them off and leaving them, just about anywhere. Hmm, not sure if I should wish you luck in heading toward the record or not, lol. :)

Oh my 10 pairs? Might be time to invest in those that you can wad up and step on - or at least come close to that. :)
It's worth looking into Guinness. You'd be surprised what types of records they have in there, and this definitely may qualify - TEN!?!?
My husband always tells my daughter he's trying to break the Guinness record for consecutive kisses on the cheek. She loves it!
Wow and I thought my son was a contended for that title, he went through 6 the first year. 10! Your poor pocketbook!
WOW ten pairs! That's a record I think. I'm so bad about my glasses if they break or I lose them. I just don't get any for quite a while. But my eyes are pretty bad now. I can't do that anymore!

She sounds about as hard on glasses as I am...this could get expensive! Is she a candidate for contacts? They might work better for her.

Yikes! Thats got to get expensive. Kennedy has some and I quit bothering because they were always getting bent and then she wouldnt leave them on.
Yikes!!! My daughter broke her first pair in 20 minutes! But she has been going strong on the second pair for a couple years.
wow. You have to pay to replace them? Here we have Becca's glasses under a year warranty for damage.
