Yesterday, while I was at work, Gabi ran into the bedroom to Ryan, saying, "Cat! Cat! Daddy, Cat!" Ryan responded with, "Great, Gabi, cat" assuming she seen a cat on TV. Gabi ran back into the living room with Ryan following behind and pulled back the curtains to our french doors to reveal a kitten just on the other side pawing at the window. Ryan opened the door, and the kitten ran in. How weird was it that we had just talked about getting another cat the day before?
So now we need to name the kitten. How about helping us decide on a name? In our right side bar is a poll of names chosen by our family. You can chose from one of those or suggest something else in the comments on this post. **edited to say a name has been chosen: 55.2% voted for Hollis. Thanks to all who voted.

Oh wow, a new kittie! How about "Gary" for a name? (like the meowing snail on Spongebob) We thought of that too late when we were naming our cat, otherwise it would be his name :).

What a beautiful kitten. Looks like it's a friendship made in Heaven. Cadeau (pronounced Cadoh) is the French word for gift. One of the few things I remember from high school a million years ago. I hope Fat Kitty warms up to her. Great set of photos.

The new kitty loos a lot like your Minnie. BIg cat will get used to it...we are two weeks into getting big cat to accept the kitten and it is definitely getting better.

Cute kitty!! My guess on what she found was make-up or a marker! Glad it was a cat instead.
Very cute! She/He looks just like our cat. She is 11 years old and does not like any other pets either....just like fat kitty. She also found our family as well. Our cat's name is Sadie Mae.
